Intern Review

Working on a 12 Month Placement as part of my degree I specialised in sourcing high calibre Non-Qualified and Part-Qualified Accountancy & Finance professionals for employers within the Warrington region. My primary day-to-day focus was to partner with candidates and clients using my expertise and market knowledge to ensure I made the right match that helps individuals and businesses grow.

The main skills that I developed were sales writing and communication, interpersonal skills, time management and overall understanding of the Accountancy & Finance industry.

I was very quickly given full responsibilities in my internship. You are expected to operate and deliver just like the rest of the team and expectations aren't lowered because you're an intern. This was really beneficial for my development as I was learning on the job.

I was given full support from my manager who spent time with me everyday while I was training. There is also support outside your team and various training modules which allow you to collaborate with other interns.

In the Liverpool office everyone is very close. The atmosphere in the office is relaxed and collaborative, with lots of social events.

It was hard work but I really enjoyed my placement. It exceeded my expectations and I got out of it exactly what I wanted.
