Overview
On a day to day, I work as a recruiter and source out candidates that I think would be good fit for specific roles that we have on with clients. I work alongside my manager to put people into jobs that fit both the client and candidate as best as possible. I do this through sourcing and screening the candidates to make sure they are up to the standard that our clients need.
Skills
I have developed administration skills, communication and interpersonal skills, systems proficiency and general confidence.
Responsibilities
Yes, I was in charge of my own desk and was treated like any other employee in the business. I was given a good level of responsibility and pressure. I was made to really felt like a part of the company and the team.
Support & Guidance
I have received an incredible amount of support and guidance, more than I anticipated. Everyone is very friendly and on call at any time to help you as best as they can.
Culture
Very friendly, open minded, professional and hard working. Recruitment is a tough job, so you need to work hard. But it is also very stressful and colleagues and managers are very supportive of this.
Your Impressions
Doing this job was one of the best decisions I ever made, the development I have seen in myself over the last 6 months is down to putting myself out of my comfort zone and also working for a very very good company who have showed me an incredible amount of support.
Yes
It is a tough job and can be very stressful. However, it is a very meaningful work and I really enjoy helping people to find their dream jobs. It is worth the effort as the highs can be very high.
