Overview
On a day to day basis with the Trades & Labour team I would ring candidates and check their availability for work along with offering them jobs in their field of expertise if there was one available. With the Human Resources team I search through the Job Boards, check CV's and register new and returning candidates and pass their details through to the consultants who work with client on their jobs.
Skills
My organisation has improved massively, My IT skills have also improved, I have also become much more competent at writing formal emails and CV's for candidates and clients
Responsibilities
Yes, when I was with the Trades & Labour team I was given the responsibility of setting up a new desk that focused entirely on House Building clients and candidates.
Support & Guidance
I have been given an excellent amount of guidance whilst being here, all my co-workers have been extremely helpful and no matter what I have always been able to ask questions about anything I have been unsure of.
Culture
The atmosphere at Hays is incredible, there are always opportunities to network with other employees in the company along with also building friendships with them also. I have also had the opportunity to play for the 5 a-side team at Hays in the business league which just adds to the atmosphere and culture with the added bonus of nights out and incentives.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement hugely, I have learnt a great deal of skills, my co workers have been massively welcoming, the culture is incredible and exceeded all my expectations and I will definitely be returning if I have the opportunity.
