Overview
Recruiting for support workers in social care. Finding them, pre-reg call with them, interview, check in with compliance and get all their documents. Admin roles, putting shifts on rotas, liasing with candidates and clients for shifts. Prepping compliance files.
Skills
Interviewing people is probably my favourite new skill as made me more confident.
Responsibilities
I was given lots of responsibiltiy from the start. I am essential member of the desk in contributing to KPI's and ensuring we hit both the perm and temp salary targets each month.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support from manager and director.
Culture
It was quite intense at times but I really liked my team and got along with them which made the experience better.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement and especially loved my team however I do think a lot of pressure was put on myself sometimes. I also have realised I probably do not want to go into recruitment in the future.
Yes
Be prepared to have a lot of work from day 1 and only go into it if you are looking to be a future recruiter.
