Overview
Various talks ranging from business related insights to things like wellbeing and diversity and inclusion. QandA panels with employees and opportunities to ask questions all the way through. 2 days are commited to hearing about 2 chosen lines of business (e.g tech, investment banking), 1 day for each one. Multiple networking events.
Skills
The event gave me the opportunity to develop my networking and active listening skills. How to start and continue conversations by listening carefully and building on responses.
Business Insight
Talks felt very information heavy at times and difficult to take in. I felt like I learned the most from talking to employees at QandA panels and networking events.
Culture
The atmosphere was very nice, the employees were open to any questions. Felt very friendly and welcoming.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the program. It was fully in-person, I met alot of interesting people and improved my understanding of the bank and how tech operates within it. Only complaint was that some of the line of business days were very information heavy and not very interactive until the QandA session.
Yes
Ask about anything that comes to mind. Talk to as many people as possible. Be confident for the assessment center and interviews, if you are confident and you have the experience to back it up, you will be fine. No one is trying to catch you out.
