Overview
One the first day of the programme, we had a detailed corporate case study delivered by a partner as well as an introduction to the firm. This was followed by a dispute resolution workshop and application advice. On the second day we completed case studies, learnt about pro-bono opportunities and shadowed a trainee. On both days, we attended departmental workshops.
Skills
I learned how to develop my application skills for when I apply for a vacation scheme at the firm. Firstly, I developed my understanding of opportunities at the firm including practice areas. Secondly, I attended talks that specifically addressed how we should approach our application.
Business Insight
It gave insight into what routes I would like to take when specialising as a lawyer or when I choose my seats as a trainee
Culture
The inclusive company culture is one of the reasons I am attracted to the firm. All trainees and partners were welcoming and gave detailed advice thus the atmosphere was relaxed.
