Overview
It consisted of daily lectures and discussions on different branches of the company/finance and economics. Group tasks to create presentations based on the information learnt during the day or to analyse case related case studies. The main topics covered and looked into where Equity, Bonds, and Asset Management
Skills
I learnt a lot about the world of finance, and specifically how investment companies like Fidelity work. In particular, some key networking skills with my peers as well as vital presenting skills.
Business Insight
It was great to learn about Fidelity, and finally understand how large investment companies work. Also, the subject-specific knowledge was useful in giving the feel of actually working there and having meet complex/tight deadlines
Culture
It was a nice and friendly atmosphere. I felt supported to ask questions, contribute, and ensure I understood everything that was being put forward.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it a lot! The information I learnt will be useful to understanding my own finances and my future career. As well as the presentation skills which are transferable to all parts of my studies.
Yes
Take your time to complete the initial assessments and think through the logic of the questions. Be bold and take your opportunity to contribute when in group activities!
