Overview
My role involves working with the team to ensure our content is supported on digital platforms (Sky Store, Amazon Prime Video, iTunes) with creatives and on store support. This involves capturing our promotional activity pre release and during release, aswell as competitor activity. My role also involves analyzing our promotional activity, giving recommendations to the account managers in order to drive digital transactional sales.
Skills
- Communication: Both Verbal and Non- Verbal ( email) - Presentation Skills: I feel more confident when presenting to my team aswell as to some of our digital partners - Analytical skills: I am able to manipulate data to a greater extent, compared to when I started - Organizational skills: Sticking to a set schedule and having deadlines has pushed me to become more organized. - Confidence
Responsibilities
I was always exposed to new projects and tasks to work on. One thing I loved about my team is they encouraged me to ask and select some things I wasn't particularly confident on and wanted to work on. From there, they would hand me some tasks which challenged me. With every placement, you get what you put into it. If there is anything you aren`t confident in, ask your manager to set you a relevant task.
Support & Guidance
Incredible support. There was always someone to help me whenever I got stuck or needed guidance. Everyone is keen to help you, as mistakes are expected along the way.
Culture
Everyone is really friendly, and there is a lot of cross collaboration across different teams. You will find yourself getting to know a lot about other departments and how each department works with each other. Also, teams love to get together regularly for some out of work activities which help form close relationships and also makes the placement experience fun!
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my internship and I`m so glad I was able to land this company and role.
