Overview
We had a range of talks and Q&A sessions with current members of the firm. These sessions could be divided into 2 types: the ones that had the purpose of giving insight into the firm's culture and working environment and the ones that had the purpose of giving insight into the specific divisions in the firm. The last day was an assessment day
Skills
Not specifically, but it was very useful in understanding which skills I can transfer from my degree to succeed in the industry
Business Insight
It was an interesting experience, unfortunately the fact that it was completely virtual was not very useful in keeping the engagement high. Nonetheless, they did the best to make it as interactive as possible and it was a good experience overall
Culture
What personally made Jefferies stand out to me was the very friendly and person oriented atmosphere. I found very exciting being in an environment where individuals are valued and the hierarchy is not as strict as other firms
Your Impressions
To a good extent, it could have definitely been better if it was in person rather than virtual, but given the circumstances it was an enjoyable experience
Yes
Try to be as engaged as possible and have lists of questions ready for the speakers. Part of the experience is a final group project and interview and the advice I can give is to be yourself and not stress too much about it and let your personality shine
