  • Sessions with my mentor who is a current Software Development Engineer at Amazon. I also received advice from recruiters on the internship application process. I also learned about the day in the life of a Software Engineer at a company like Amazon. My mentor shared relevant resources to prepare for a summer internship at Amazon.

  • It was an enjoyable and valuable experience learning about different roles at Amazon. Culture

  • 4. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?
  • The company culture was extremely diverse and inclusive. Amazon highly abides by its leadership principles and this was highly admirable to see. The core principle of Amazon, which they also tend to term as the company's DNA, was Customer Obsession. The company runs around this principle. It innovates for its customers and makes life easy for them. Amazon is also highly focused on recruiting smart people and people who have the potential to learn.

  • I enjoyed the programme to a very good extent where I got to know so many people and learn so many things. It was really useful and full of learning and engaging too. • Yes

  • 8. What tips or advice would you give to others applying to Amazon
  • I would say be honest and fair with your work. Focus on your academic result, your hobbies more because knowledge is something they will provide but you should have the capability to do it. Also, although it is very competitive but is really fair and they will judge you in your actual skills. Be good with you cv, cl, application questions, tests and interviews and they will decide fairly whether you are a good fit.
