The Role
As with any job there are aspects that I have loved and aspects that I have not enjoyed so much. I have viewed the whole experience as a positive with every experience providing a learning opportunity.
I have really felt valued by the teams that I have worked in as the roles I have taken have had a real contribution to the performance of those teams. I have also met socially with a few members of my team.
I felt like the support I got varied between placements; however there was always help when I needed it through colleagues, other placement students, managers and the 'Buddy' system.
I have always been busy in my placements and sometimes I have felt I have had too much to do, however this is not all the time and during quieter periods where I have not had a lot to do I have been able to ask and take on more work.
I have been given a lot of responsibility in the roles that I have taken. I think the reason for this is that my managers recognised when I had been given responsibility and handled it well and given me more as a result.
I feel I have developed a lot of skills at my placement. I have increased my knowledge, learnt about the office environment, increased my inter-personal skills, improved computer skills. I feel that the placement has helped give me a correct mindset to tackle the future, instead of the 'lazy-student'mindset.
The Company
The atmosphere around the office was different between different placements. One was louder than the other with more banter, however, saying that, everyone has been really friendly and chatty and I never felt like I had to sit there in silence until the phone rang.
I think the placement could have been more organised, however I appreciate that sometimes things have to change because of business need. I received a lot of communication prior to me starting and the induction week was well planned. I was informed of my placement duties before I started them so I knew what to expect.
We have four training days across the year that taught us some key skills. These have been really good fun and have really allowed all the placement students to bond as a team. I feel I have also been given support and training as and when required in order to complete my roles. If I have not understood something I have always felt able to ask.

I would consider a job here, but I would also consider other opportunites in the current job market.
The Culture
I feel we were a great placement team and we all got on really well. We also met up with each other on a number of social occasions. We gained the epic acheivements of coming last in the work pub quiz and joint second on the 'Its a knockout' tournament.
Coventry is fairly cheap on rent, as are nights out at certain venues. Leamington and Birmingham are not too far away for those who require a more classier nights out.
As above really. Nights out are good, but Leamington and Birmingham are not too far away.
There are opportunities available all around coventry to suit anyone if they wanted to get involved. I haven't really.
