Overview
Three day event of soft skill workshops and information days. We were partnered with a mentor in Amazon. Great learning experience, and great to connect with other software engineers. Overall a very beneficial experience.
Skills
Yes, learned caching, developed skills with pair programming. Also became more familiar with the use of Python.
Business Insight
It was exciting to learn of all future job possibilities in Amazon. A clear and direct path from university to a professional career was mapped through a mentorship program, internships and return offers for graduates.
Culture
Company culture was very welcoming with everyone seeming very excited for everyone to be there. Everyone seemed very genuine and willing to assist in any way they could for anything.

I had a phenomenal experience, I felt extremely comfortable and welcomed by everyone involved. Overall a very enjoyable and informative insight program.

Even if you don't feel your skills are of a high enough standard, to apply regardless as it was a phenomenal learning experience and taught me a lot more about the work place than through my academic endeavours.
