Overview
The Insight involved a mixture of informative talks and engaging technical workshops, all geared towards helping the candidates understand the Amazon SDE job application process. In terms of technical workshops, Day 1 dealt with Graph Traversal and Hashmap, Day 2 taught us about caching and bugs, and Day 3 was a group project focused on OOP.
Skills
I have developed an appreciation for good Software Engineering practices, as well as the importance of OOP in big tech.
Business Insight
It was eye-opening considering how impactful Amazon has become as a company. To know that there are diverse roles in the company all the while allowing for flexibility makes it an easier decision for prospective candidates.
Culture
The employees were eager to help and mentor throughout the Insight, leading me to infer that the company culture is one of great inclusivity.
Your Impressions
I learnt a great ton in terms of what's expected from an SDE through really fun technical problems. So yes, I really enjoyed the process.
