Overview
Provisioning Windows workstations and servers for end users around the business, rolling out software updates and deployments, automation of processes
Skills
I have developed technical skills such as Scripting, software-specific skills such as Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Manager, Ansibuild playbook code and more administrative tools.
Responsibilities
It is down to the individual how much responsibility they would like to take on - if you are keen on learning more and actively try to get involved new technologies, GR will accommodate. However if you would prefer to focus your internship on a more niche skillset, then you will not be pressured to take on additional responsibilities. GR is very flexible with how you would like to run your internship.
Support & Guidance
My team has been extremely supportive and always answered my questions and took time to train me with new tools and processes. There was never a point where I felt like I had no one to ask for help.
Culture
GR is full of very lively and energetic people who strive to continue developing and learning. If you like to pick up new skills and engage in training courses to improve your skills, you will enjoy it. The social aspect is also very important, as it is a very social company with lots of opportunities to connect with other teams.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and don't regret choosing GR at all. Definitely worth the experience.
Yes
Make sure you actively participate in activities and showcase your personality so that potential teams can see what you are like as a person. Working together with your team will be the biggest part of your daily life so this is important.
