Overview
As an intern you take on similar roles to that of a first year analyst. The majority of my time was spent producing content in PowerPoint, which would then be presented to clients by senior members of the team e.g. MDs. I would work closely with others on the junior bench, Analyst-Associate level. In terms of exposure, I was able to attend meetings with c suite level from major UK organisations.
Skills
Furthered skills in Modelling, PowerPoint, Excel, Valuations and Time Management
Responsibilities
Yes, once I had settled onto the desk I took on tasks (almost independently) that are important to ongoing relationships with HSBC's clients
Support & Guidance
Weekly catchups with staffer (line manager) and we were all allocated a buddy who was very supportive with the day-to-day role. HR were very active too.
Culture
Brilliant culture in my team. I had less exposure to other teams but the culture appeared to be good within the wider business.
Your Impressions
