Overview
In Security and Compliance, you manage your own workflow by picking up tickets surrounding issues related to SAP applications and then ensuring you're compliant throughout the solution. Outside of this, you also get the opportunity to work on big projects and be a contact for SAP access throughout. For Technology Solutions, I focused on monitoring the incoming demand and assisting with tech support shifts.
Skills
- Further developed problem solving skills - Improved presentation skills - Improved time management - How to network - Improved communication skills
Responsibilities
Yes, you get treated like an equal employee and therefore get to take on just as much responsibilities and ownership of tasks.
Support & Guidance
A lot, the team is very supportive and friendly. I also had regular 121s with my line manager to make sure I was on track with my goals.
Culture
It's a very positive and inclusive culture. It's heavily focused on self-development so there's a great amount of opportunities to develop further through training courses and volunteering.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement as I've gotten to work in a great team and now have a deeper understanding of the function of IT within a large company.
Yes
To prepare for the interview, I'd recommend looking on glassdoor for interview question ideas and to record your answers and listen back to them. For the assessment centre, the best thing to do is just to remain calm and try to enjoy it, you just need to be yourself and show that you're very passionate about the opportunity.
