Overview
I worked in the Professional marketing team for Nicorette, targeting our marketing efforts towards healthcare professionals that can help smokers to quit. On a daily basis, I worked on digital marketing media for different websites, optimised our brand websites across different markets, created monthly performance reports for the wider team and was in complete control of the brand budget and tracking our financial spend.
Skills
My teamwork skills have massively improved whilst working in such a big brand. I feel like I can comfortably work and support in a large team and still achieve results, but I can also work independently when needed. I have enhanced my communication skills as J&J stress open communication through an agile mindset, which has contributed to my communication, time management and autonomous working skills.
Responsibilities
I was given so much responsibility. I led one of the team's biggest partnerships, with it being the first end to end campaign for the team and my manager stressed the importance of me taking the lead, and working with internal and external stakeholders to meet deadlines. I was also given control over analysing sales data and sharing results with the wider team.
Support & Guidance
So much. There was constant communication with my manager with weekly calls and I was able to ask easily whenever I needed help or didn't understand anything. There were constant check in sessions and the early talent team were amazing support.
Culture
The company culture is absolutely amazing. You can truly tell that they put the wellbeing and needs of their employees first. It is such a flexible work environment, taking into account situations where people need to do school runs, or have doctor appointments etc. The atmosphere in office is social and teams get along so well. I felt I could go to my manager with anything, even if not work related.

I have absolutely loved my placement. I feel like I couldn't have picked a better company to work for.

To not be afraid to think outside of the box. Marketing is all about suggesting ideas and learning. Johnson & Johnson want you to be heard, so share your thoughts and ask if you aren't sure.
