Overview
Design/Develop/Test software for a plethora of applications, particpate in daily stand-up meetings, communcate with clients and international employees, plan solutions, prioritise tasks
Skills
I've used a wide array of new technologies as well as expanded my knowledge with ones i was already familiar with. Learnt how to officially manage my time and prioritise tasks. Expanded knowledge of development lifecycles Improved 'people skills'
Responsibilities
Yes - more than i was expecting!
Support & Guidance
As well as an high level of support from management and fellow team members, each placement student was assigned a mentor and given paid mentoring time each month for personal development and support.
Culture
Everyone i had the pleasure of working with was extremely kind and down-to-earth and provided aid and support with whatever i needed. Lockheed clearly pride themselves on developing each employee as an individual and creating a 'family' environment where everyone respects eachother and takes time to acknowledge each person's strengths to further relationships and make projects more efficient.
Your Impressions
I can't speak highly enough of the work I've completed and the teams/individuals that I have worked (and formed relationships) with. I've learnt so much over the past year and am sad to see it come to an end.
