Overview
I collaborate with program teams regarding there needs. I then go away seek quotes from suppliers, raise purchase orders & track them through until delivery. I collaborate with engineers to ensure quality standards are met and any issues are then addressed with the supplier.
Skills
My communications skills mainly I have constantly work with people from all around the world. Cummins has a global outreach so I speak to Americans, Chinese, Indian, European suppliers on a daily basis.
Responsibilities
I was given full responsibility of tasks. If I didn’t deliver or made a mistake there is a consequence such as a delay on a timeline. This pressure made me learn even faster.
Support & Guidance
I have received as much support as I could have asked for. Daily I am asking questions and seeking help as I find it being the best way to learn.
Culture
Cummins has an excellent culture I would recommend anyone to join. Being so multicultural it has been great working with colleges from all over the world. Everyone is seen as valued people, even myself joining at the lowest level, my word is taken into consideration during discussions.
