Overview
• Hardware Systems Maintenance -Keeping department computers updated and correctly functioning • Software and License Management -Keeping critical software up to date and licenses validated • Technical Support -Providing tailored help to colleagues to resolve technical issues • Website management -Keeping the department website up to date with the latest information • CST booking tool management -Tracking enhancements of the tool and keeping the team informed • Administrative Support -Provide help to the administration team during heavy work loads
Skills
I have improved on my communication, organizational and analytical skills. I have also been able to learn how to use different systems/ methods through my placement.
Responsibilities
Yes I have been given a lot of responsibility and leadership opportunities while completing my placement.

I had 10 days of training with the placement student who was working in my position.
Culture
Cummins is a very diverse and inclusive company. All of the staff that I have interacted with have been very helpful and kind. This was very helpful when I started working as I was able to contact many colleagues for any questions that I have had.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement a lot the colleagues that I have worked with have been very kind. I would like to work for Cummins again once I have graduated from university.
Yes
Cummins are very good at recruiting young new people into their company. The CEO of Cummins is a former placement student, this is very inspiring for many people that work for Cummins. For your first day make sure you bring a notebook and pen so you can take notes.
