Overview
Being part of as well as leading projects relating to the manufacturing process, whether this be safety, quality or throughput related related. Attended daily team meeting to discuss progress with projects as well as issue seen on plant the previous day. Also worked closely with HSE and Quality to make sure all changed implemented to production line were both safe and repeatable.
Skills
My team leadership and team working skills have grown massively in the last year due to working on cross departmental projects. Physical understanding of working environment developed as well as how to implement skills learned in education into real work applications.
Responsibilities
I was given large amount of responsibility on my placement from leading weekly meetings relating to all manufacturing changes that were going to be implemented onto the production line, to being a departmental representative in other departments meetings.
Support & Guidance
I believe i received very good guidance from my manger and senior engineer during my placement, as well as from other members on my team anytime i was unsure or doing something from the first time.
Culture
The company culture focuses heavily on developing you as an individual and helps tailor your job role and task to suit you best. The atmosphere in my team was great and everyone got along well.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed my placement massively, both inside and outside of the workplace and would recommend that everybody should do one if its something they are considering.
