Overview
I was creating marketing emails for our members as well as posts on Instagram, targeted ads on social media, customers service, writing articles, and I was finding influencers on Instagram for our collaborations. After my Placement I stayed for a part-time position with Marketing, but in March 2022 I was transferred to the Finance department, where I did journal and bank postings, bank reconciliations and some charity paperwork.
Skills
Of course! It was my first proper job, so everything was so new for me, I don't even know where to start! However, I would say the main skill I developed was time management and following strict deadlines.
Responsibilities
Yes! I was fully responsible for our CIS Instagram account and marketing emails right from the start! My manager was checking what I was doing in the first month or two, but after that I was doing everything on my own, especially day-to-day responsibilities.
Support & Guidance
I was given a lot of support from my day 1. The first week was full of training and learning about how the company works and the competitors. My manager was very patient with me and she answered any questions I had. My teammates not only supported me, but they became my friends for life!
Culture
My Placement Year was online, so it was hard to tell. However, when I started going to the office, I saw how friendly everyone is. I could have a general conversation with anyone in the company, including the co-founders. The atmosphere is very chilled.
Your Impressions
I cannot say enough how grateful I am for the experience I gained at TopCashback. I think it is an ideal place to start your career. I gained so many new skills and I am so so happy about it!
