Overview
The role has a very wide scope of what's done on a day-to-day basis, from writing articles, producing the newsletter, filming and editing videos, creating posters, sending site-wide emails and more.
Skills
The role has enabled me to lead my own projects, enhancing project management, time management and leadership skills. The large volume of writing has also developed my written communication skills.
Responsibilities
At the beginning my manager guided me on how to approach the work but after a couple of months I was given a great opportunity to lead and run my own projects. As there was only two of us running the internal communications on site when my manager was on holiday I ran the communications on my own, but got support from others if I needed it.
Support & Guidance
My line manager gave me a lot of support and guidance throughout the entirety of placement. If my manager was away I could turn to the rest of my team or early talent for help.
Culture
There's a lot of people on site so there's no way you could get to know everyone, but the general atmosphere is friendly.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my year here I found it both developmental and fun.
Yes
Embrace the GSK culture.
