The Role
Very varied job lots of different things to get involved in.
The team I worked in was great, interns and the employees were essentially doing the same job and very much valued.
If I ever wanted to talk about anything I needed my manager would always help.
At times fairly busy with additional work such as intern projects. There were points where I did not have much work.
I was given a significant amount of responsibility. I was essentially working on the same level as other employees who were not interns.
Working in the project management office was a great experience allowing me to gain many skills useful in the industry.
The Company
The employees all got along and there light hearted approach in the office.
The starting period was very organised, however, there was not a lot of organisation when joining my team.
Able to take Microsoft exams free of charge. A lot of on the job learning.
Subsidised Canteen
Sports and Social Club
Subsidised/Company Gym
National Travel
Company Parties/Events
Staff Sales/Staff Shop
Working from home
Healthcare from home
Interns are not guaranteed to return, in fact most dont. The grad scheme is a lot smaller than the intern scheme and this means around 1 in 10 interns go onto grad jobs.
The Culture
Always something organised.
Reading is cheap. Although this may be as I am used to living in the centre of London.
Reading clubs and bars are nothing on London but a lot cheaper. The interns often organised nights out.
There are a huge amount of things to get involved in. For example, I was involved in a charity project and got the opportunity to exhibit at an international tradeshow.
