Overview
The role entails working closely with google analytics to create a weekly report on how well the pre-launch of the cars are going. Also - working with agencies to produce creatives. You will also do competitive research to see how other car companies display their cars within creative films.
Skills
There are a lot of skills - that have been learnt some of the key ones are: data analysis, presenting, reporting, and communication.
Responsibilities
Yes - there are a lot of responsibilities that were given. There is a lot of independent work that is done throughout the placement - although the team are very welcoming and always around to answer questions that you might have about the work that you are working on. There is a lot of involvement throughout the projects - and you're able to sit in and get a full understanding of how a creative is produced from start to finish.
Support & Guidance
There was a lot of support and guidance received. There is always someone within the team that is willing to help you if you ever stuck or unsure of what you need to do next. Also, the agency you work with also take time to help you go through their platforms so that you're able to work with them and they're also there to help if you need further support with the platform if there is anything that you're unsure of.
Culture
When I joined it was still when Covid restrictions were around but the company culture is very friendly and people made time to make sure that there was still interaction happening even if it was online. When the office started to open up - the atmosphere was lively and everyone was able to go to lunch and have meeting together - which boost moral all around. Also there culture of working and home and in office - has made work-life balance easier. I would say over all Honda are great for listening to everyone and take on all peoples views and opinions.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed my placement - it has given me greater insight to what I would like to do when I finish university. The skills that I have gained from the experience will be useful not only for my final year at university but also when I want to get a job after. There was a lot to learn and gain from my year at Honda.
Yes
Just to be yourself - Honda is all about people and to show your true self is the best this can be done within your CV and covering letter.
