Overview
Horizon scanning, looking at what our competitors are doing, attending stakeholder meetings, preparing PowerPoints with data & information depending on the topic/task of the week, presenting PowerPoints to my manager, providing assistance with the Dream Day events, brainstorming with my teammates, reading and sending emails, coming up with ideas for the Dream Day event and later on creating reports after the Dream Day event.
Skills
MS office (setting up meetings, accepting meetings, sending professional emails, and etc.), waking up early every day and commuting to work, team working, networking, brainstorming, presentation, researching, organization, technical, analytical skills. Thinking outside the box and getting challenged every day at work. Managed my time well with a balance of work, fitness, and outgoing lifestyle. Created discipline and habit of hard work.
Responsibilities
In the beginning, learning the business and culture in Honda was vital for me to grasp the philosophy so I wasn't given a lot of responsibility. Additionally, my department was very new at the time (3 months old when I joined) but then later on my skills started to really kick off, so started I handing more work & responsibility day by day as I showed my capability, potential, and intellectual curiosity throughout projects and meetings.
Support & Guidance
My manager and colleague always provided me with insightful information, I learned what it is like being a team leader. Guidance and support was always given to me whenever I needed it. I learned the key of patience through my colleagues as I watched them teach me the how to.
Culture
The Dream Day were inspiring and creative, I learned a new side of creativeness within the events that I have attended to. Honda's philosophy is also a great way to live by since it carries key information and morals. Diversity and inclusion is also well represented within the company as well as female empowerment & presence.
Your Impressions
