    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.
  • Creation, translation and distribution of external PR. Managing the redesign of internal communications fortnightly newsletters, supporting on the creation of our internal magazine every 3 months - both of which are send our across Europe so require translation and approvals. Managed the social media accounts for our corporate Twitter and our consumer HME Instagram. Looked after 5 cost center budget trackers and liaised with budget managers on month end. Risk assessments, event support and recruitment.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?
  • I was heavily involved in many content projects. I was able to lead some projects myself such as internal communications redesign and social media. I had a high level of responsibility managed strictly embargoed assets and media. Great exposure to the business and provided opportunities to go abroad to understand how events come together in my team and line of work. Exposed to the financial management from raising PO's to accruals.

  • I received support and guidance from most members from the wider team. At times, no one in the team could not help with issues I had but it allowed me to create new ways of ensuring this information is available for the next undergrad.

  • The company culture is very passionate about dreams. People centered, offer event opportunities and are keen to get the undergrads involved.

  • Make sure you care about the culture - it's very ingrained in how Honda works. I was inspired by my love for Honda's heritage and I think to work here, you need to be somewhat passionate about some business areas.
