Overview
• Assisting with the monitoring, forecasting and reporting of safety recall and product update campaigns. • Assisting in increasing campaign performance by studying continuous improvement activities in HME, Branches and Distributors. • Create and maintain business dashboards to show real-time performance. • Assisting in gathering all necessary information to start market campaigns. • Carrying out market investigation to understand campaign performance in each Branch / Distributor. Compiling reports of your findings. • Providing support to Branch / Distributor for campaign or product enquiries. • Researching & examining potential new systems and technologies for Branches and Distributors, including communicating with Honda Motor, European Honda organisations and suppliers.
Skills
I have been able to develop my presentation and excel skills throughout the year. I have been able to have the chance and present in front of 40 people in a Branch Meeting we held which helped me develop my public speaking skills. With the reports I construct on a monthly basis I have been able to improve my excel skills.
Responsibilities
During my placement I was given a good amount of responsibility. It was much more than I was expected which is a great thing as it allowed me to get out of my comfort zone.
Support & Guidance
I had a great amount of support and guidance as I was constantly encouraged to ask questions. I also had 1-1 meeting with my manager on a weekly basis which really allowed me to share how my workload and my week was going so I could receive some help and advice. I also had a monthly feedback meeting which allowed me to receive constructive feedback and make sure I was achieving the targets I set myself.
Culture
The culture at Honda is really inclusive and there really is that respect for the individual that Honda really honours as a value. I have always felt part of the team and was always given the seme chances as the rest of the team which was really important for my growth and development during the year.
Your Impressions
This placement has been a great experience to really develop all the skills that are necessary for my future career. A really important thing it has allowed me to do is to identify all my strengths and weaknesses and high allows me to really focus what I need to work on.
Yes
I would advice for them to step out of their comfort zone and use all opportunities offered to them as at the beggining I was afraid of asking questions and presenting in some occasions when I think I could’ve actually presented.
