Overview
Fantastic year in industry. Day to day you will be running a branch eventually as an operator. Focusing year round on running the business, HR, risk, vehicle acquisition. As an intern you will have 3 training stages, followed by an MQI. A verbal test of what you have learnt leading to your first promotion!
Skills
- Analytical skills from day running looking a vehicle counts and day sales. - Management skills, from running a team of 6 on certain days. - Interpersonal skills, having worked all over the region making fantastic relationships and connections.
Responsibilities
From Day 1 you are given accountability. Soon after you will have a ‘captaincy’ an aspect of the business that you as an individual are responsible for improving having weekly meetings within the business and external business. You are treated equally to a graduate
Support & Guidance
Constant development throughout. 3 stages of training where peers have all been in the position you have. Flexibility to book and have personal meetings with senior management and other leaders of different departments.
Culture
Above and beyond, from my line manager to area and even city manager, I felt valued as an intern. Various days out and competitions within the company.
Your Impressions
Highly enjoyed. Took up inclusivity projects and work in the community while being paid by the company! Great connections made with skills i’ll take to University and there after.
Yes
The hours will be higher than another placement. But if you are looking for a company with real progression and opportunities for after your studies. Apply if you want a career, not a one year job.
