Overview
My role included managing some of the commercial aspects of Superdrug.com business, working with the Superdrug social teams and working on our promotional and permanent merchandising. I also collaborated with the marketing teams and Superdrug to create activations. I completed a few projects, which required in depth analysis on various aspects of the business. I also completed ad hoc tasks, such as sending products to retailers.
Skills
I have improved my excel skills, through completing in depth analysis. My presentation skills have also improved, in terms of creating PowerPoint decks and also presenting virtually and in person. I have been able to network with a variety of people, which helped me to improve my communication skills.
Responsibilities
I was given large amounts of responsibility during my internship. I was able to solely manage aspects of the Superdrug account, such as online and social media. I also led in collaborating with marketing and Superdrug to create large activations for new products.
Support & Guidance
I received a lot of support and guidance from my line manager but also the wider team. Everyone is willing to help and answer any questions you had.
Culture
The company culture was very social and fun. There are a lot of social events that allow you to meet a wide variety of people. The environment in the office is fun and collaborative. You get to know your colleagues on a personal level.
Your Impressions
I have really enjoyed my placement. I have become so much more confident socially and in a professional environment. I have created some strong relationships, that I hope to keep in the future.

The more preparation you do to learn about the company and their culture the better! Look into L'Oréal's core values and try to show how you embody these. Personality is key, so make sure you are your self in the interview. Ask lots of questions along the process to find out more about L'Oreal.
