Overview
Communicating with suppliers and internal stakeholders to source items. Performing data collection & analysis, data entry, updating system information, coordinating with Sourcing Managers for various tasks.
Skills
Improved communication, teamwork skills. Developed great MS Excel skills. Picked up better data analysis & information presentation skills, along with improved organisational skills.
Responsibilities
Was given a good amount of responsibility, depending on nature of tasks and personal capabilities.
Support & Guidance
Business culture at Cummins is highly supportive. Was pleasantly surprised by how helpful everyone was, no matter how closely they worked with me.
Culture
Culture of support. Learning opportunities are plenty and higher-ups provide lots of support to achieve learning. General atmosphere is not too bureaucratic or stern.
Your Impressions
Overall, very enjoyable placement experience. Not overly-stressful, great opportunity for self-development, experience gathering and remuneration was fair.
