Overview
Fulfilling requests for different countries to assist with product registrations and renewals, so products can be sold in these countries. This involves communicating with our contacts around the world to find out what requirements they need to sell the products and then searching for data or information or finding documents or requesting certification for these products.
Skills
I have gained and developed a lot of skills throughout the year, including commercial awareness, communication in a professional setting, teamwork in both smaller teams and global teams, the need to be adaptable and flexible and a lot of software/ IT based skills.
Responsibilities
Yes, we had a lot more responsibility than I had expected. We were provided our own requests to fulfil from the start and had the chance to work on projects that were being done throughout the company. Not just helping out with mangers or others work.
Support & Guidance
Everyone was very welcoming from the start and very helpful during training and throughout. There was always someone available to help if you needed it. We also had daily catch ups to go through any questions, which was really helpful. This is something I really appreciated in the role.
Culture
Again, as above everyone I came into communication with within the company was very welcoming and helpful. People definitely help each other out and there is great team feel. Also I think they really stick to their credo in everything they do, and want to help people.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the placement. I learnt a lot and developed a lot of skills and I really enjoyed working with everyone I did, and there was a lot of variety that kept the job interesting.
Yes
Make sure you research the company and learn about their values and culture, as this is definitely something that is important to them company wide. Also there are so many companies and then roles within J&J so make sure to research all of these before applying.
