Overview
I provide support to both the DTC and E-Retail team by providing them with banners, product copy, etc. I also provide support to the field team by creating social packs for product launches. I will help support with new product launches by completing photoshoots, creating banners, etc. Other activities I may complete are: competitor reports, product send outs, quarterly blog articles, legal and scientific work, CRM email briefs ,and samples and testers forecasting.
Skills
Microsoft Office skills (Excel and Powerpoint), presentation skills, time management and working to deadlines, working under pressure, using platforms such as OPERA and SPRINKLR.
Responsibilities
I was given high levels of responsibility from my first day at L'Oreal by taking over a product launch from the previous intern. Although I was offered help and guidance from my line manager, I had take the lead. As my time at L'Oreal progressed I was given more responsibility by completing harder tasks to now where I will own a project from start to finish without the help of my manager.
Support & Guidance
I was offered a very high level of support/guidance throughout my placement. This came from my line manager, other members of my team as well as other people in the division. I never felt as if I couldn't ask a questions and everyone is always happy to help.
Culture
I felt that the company culture and general atmosphere of the company got better as the year went on. When I started there were no social activities/events due to covid but as the restrictions were eased there were more events in place. This made it easier to integrate and get to know the wider team better.
Your Impressions
I have thoroughly enjoyed my time at L'Oréal and will miss working here when I go back to university. I will miss the team that I work with and I hope that there is an opportunity to return in the future.
Yes
For anyone who I applying to L'Oréal I would recommend going in with an open mind. Make sure to ask questions during the interview process and have an understanding of all of the L'Oréal divisions.
