Overview
For the entire duration of the scheme, I sat in the corporate team assisting them with drafting and research. I also attended many presentations about A&O hosted by the firm as well as socials HR organised.
Skills
Research, office etiquette and networking.

Very insightful, I found it interesting learning what isn’t on the firm’s website and experiencing the supportive culture A&O is known for in person!
Culture
The culture is very supportive. In my experience, from PA to partners in the firm, everyone was so down to earth and friendly.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed it very much! I loved meeting new people and assisting in real work for real clients.
Yes
Be yourself! It’s so cliché but A&O is so supportive and all senior levels are so understanding that you may have many questions about the work you are doing or department you are in. Make sure to include all experiences in your application, law and non law related as many trainees have told me the skills gained from these were invaluable to their legal work!
