The Role
I've actually really enjoyed my time here at Cummins, working in the Manufacturing & Shop Operations Department I feel I have learn quite alot such as the assembly processes of how engines are built, monitoring productions data etc and have also bettered my knowledge on dielsel engines getting to understand parts & functions of engines.
I'm happy with the way I have being treated by my colleagues, All the people in my department are amazing, You always can get help from anyone, and they are all easy to get along it.
I was always supported by my manager/Supervisors when ever I needed help, through my project works, daily/weekly & monthly duties I always got support whenever I needed them
At the start of my placement year around the first 2 months I dont get really busy, It was more of a learning curve, around my 3rd month was when I started getting lots of duties getting lots of project work and getting more involved in different areas of dutie. On daily basis it cant be really busy in terms of spacing time for your project work as well other daily task you have to do, also attending meetings etc It can get very busy.
I was given so much responsibility in different areas which i found really good.
I think the whole placement itself will benefit in my remaining years at university, I have been able to handle big projects by myself which will really help me in terms of doing my final year project byself, I bettered myself in skills such time management, better confidence, communication, presentation etc
