Skills
Have improved networking skills with senior members of teams Have learnt multiple different elements in HR Have thoroughly learnt how the recruitment process works as well as the job cycle - from recruitment to exit interviews Developed my excel skills
Responsibilities
I was given a lot of autonomy from day 1. Many projects were given to me to lead. We would discuss the frame at the start of the year alongside our personal professional goals and I was given one section of the frame to work on and make my own.
Support & Guidance
A lot of support from my line manager was given. Would have liked to have an easier way for interns to recruit mentors/ buddies
Culture
The division I was working in had a strong helpful culture, everybody was happy to network and help the interns. My immediate team were also great. I would have liked to have more of a welcome from my function as not many people made an effort with all of the interns.
Your Impressions
My internship has offered me great opportunities for growth and the ability to know where I would like to take my future career. I have enjoyed meeting new people and working in a global company. There are some elements I would have liked to have seen differently within my placement. But overall I enjoyed the whole year.
Yes
Network -speak to everybody you can. There are so many opportunities for you to make friends/ professional connections use them. Also, the internship is yours to take what you want out of it. Don't get stuck doing jobs that aren't using your potential just because you are an intern.
