Overview
My role has involved the development of a system model for aiding in verification test review. Also I have completed technical documentation ready for review and release to the customer. The day-to-day involves progress towards larger scale tasks (such as the documentation) combined with smaller tasks such as bug fixing to solve other related problems on the project.
Skills
I have learnt a significant amount about low level computing (hex registers, ASIC blocks etc), and also learned some skills such as understanding change control and requirements management.
Responsibilities
I was given the solo responsibility to produce a complete and substantial piece of documentation which will ultimately be released to the customer as part of the project verification. Additionally, I was trusted to implement requirement changes to the system model and flight software.
Support & Guidance
I received a good amount of support and guidance
Culture
The people at the company were wonderful and were great to interact with, and there was a very healthy culture.
Your Impressions
I enjoyed getting to know and spending time with my team and others that I had met. The documentation tasks were very dull, but when I was able to solve problems it was much more interesting.
No
When you apply, the people are just as important as the technical.
