Overview
The trainees or qualified lawyers would provide real work to be completed. This was very varied across the two practice seats, including research, drafting and proof-reading. There were many organised talks structured throughout the two weeks to learn more about the firm.
Skills
There were many opportunities to develop skills. Specifically, time-management, being attentive to details, effective legal drafting, and communication skills with other professionals and clients.
Business Insight
The various talks gave very useful information into how the firm worked internally and the roles of a lawyer at Stephenson Harwood. The talks were very comprehensive which allowed for an easy understanding of the business.
Culture
Amazing, each and every person I met was very welcoming, supportive and kind. It was an environment conducive to hard work and everyone at the firm made the work very enjoyable.
Your Impressions
I thoroughly enjoyed the scheme. Not only was it great to see how the firm operated, everyone working for the firm were happy to help you progress and improve. It was very helpful for making decisions in the future.
