Working alongside or with area managers, training on the shopfloor and working with a whole range of people in different stores. Everyday is different!
Skills
Commuication across teams and towards different people. How to run a team effectively and efficiently. Understand store processes more, including managing your inventory and store procedures.
Responsibilities
You're given responsibility from day one. You are upskilled to take control on the shop floor and ultimately be responsible for a large experienced team of staff. In your project work you get complete independence in decision making and presenting back. There's lots of opportunities to take your responsibility and run with it!
Support & Guidance
You are assigned a mentor before you arrive and usually meet before your first day. You get regular check-ins and they are always there if you need them on the other end of the phone. Towards the end of your placement it becomes your responsibility to catch up often.
Culture
The culture is very hardworking and focused but expect meals and drinks fairly often. The atmosphere is great and everyone is lovely.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it! You learn so so much and there's nothing quite like it.
Yes
Show that you're both professional but friendly and chatty. Expect a more laidback interview and don't be afraid to show off your personality.
