Overview
Perform a number of business as usual reporting tasks, implement processes and undertake projects to develop skills whilst working for a face paced, global retailer to compliment University studies.
Skills
Lots of opportunities to fine-tune and develop new skills such as communication, technological skills on software such as Microsoft and Google Analytics in addition to project and time management skills.
Responsibilities
After the 10 week introductory training plan, I was immediately given responsibility of a number of BAU tasks before project-based work. This was maintained throughout the year which has only encouraged further development.
Support & Guidance
At Aldi, you never feel alone. The culture they promote is very supportive through being a member of a team with a mentor, direct leader and personnel leader who are all there to offer advice and guidance.
Culture
Aldi has a great company culture which promotes collaborative working and innovation to strive for the best results of individuals to achieve company-wide goals.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement and was very grateful for the opportunity given their competitiveness. Following an uncertain year at University with disruptive studies, it was just what I needed to develop myself before completing my final year at University.
Yes
Be yourself. If you're a driven individual who's looking to develop in a fast-paced environment then Aldi is the company for you. Prepare for the recruitment process like any other and remain confident and approachable, remembering interpersonal skills are really important.
