Overview
Starting off in store you under take the role of store assistant working your way up to deputy manager and then finally assistant store manager. Throughout the year you also experience week of mentor shadowing in the role of area manager. After store time you spend approximately 6 months in HO working on project work.
Skills
Many new skills. Resilience, determination, communication, leadership and teamwork.
Responsibilities
So much responsibility from day one. You mange yourself, others and have to deliver on high expectations from day one.
Support & Guidance
In can feel like sometimes there is more support at times than other times but overall, there is support always available when and wherever you need it.
Culture
Very demanding but also very rewarding. Can often be working on your own or with limited number of people but can feel very collaborative.
Your Impressions
Very enjoyable, the amount of experience and exposure you get at such a relatively young and new career is next to none.
Yes
You need to take the bull by the horns and really guide and mould your own learning and development.
