Overview
It was a 3 day long insight and we got to shadow a senior Tech Consultant. They showed us a day in their life and set up meetings for us with different employees in the area that we were interested in.
Skills
I have learned about new software which companies use for consulting and also was encouraged to ask a lot of questions.
Business Insight
I found it really helpful to see what the role entails and what potential roles are available within the business unit. It was great to see that there are more than one routes within Tech Consulting, not just pure consulting.
Culture
The company culture is the one aspect that makes PwC a great company. All the people we spoke to were really happy working at the company and told us about all the benefits available to them. They were happy to speak to us which was a voluntary thing, so it says a lot about how much people like to work there.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed it and everyone made us feel like potential colleagues which is rare at big companies. We weren't looked down on as students, we were appreciated.
Yes
Be confident, don't shy away from asking questions and show them why you're a good fit.
