Assessed tasks were given, which included producing a written assignment with two departments that we worked in over the course of the scheme. You get to interact with various people through presentations and socials.

It was extremely useful to gain an insight into the different practice areas of the firm, the work done, and the various team dynamics.
Yes
Try to build sufficient degrees of commercial awareness - it is essential to every task involved. Also be prepared for a good amount of work, the vacation scheme does involve multiple tasks with similar deadlines.
