Overview
Calls with individuals from the economics consulting team as well as shadowing a mentor over the three days whilst working on a research project that I presented to my mentor on the final day.
Skills
Developed PowerPoint and presentation skills as well as the confidence to ask questions.
Business Insight
I entered the programme with some existing knowledge but I am now more aware of the business and how it operates. I have a more rounded understanding of economic consulting and what a career in this line of service entails.
Culture
The culture was wonderful to be a part of and there wasn't the hierarchal structure you typically experience in large firms. It was really enjoyable to be able to speak to both new employees and more senior members of the team and feel that they valued your time as much as your valued theirs.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed the experience and would have only liked for it to be longer or to have had the opportunity to go into the office. Overall, a very rounded and detailed insight into PWC as a company and what it could be like to work with them.
Yes
Make sure to ask questions and be actively involved as you can always learn more.
