Overview
There were lots of coffee chats and shadowing of current PwC employees, including graduate students, recruitment team staff and senior managers. It was great to have the chance to meet people from all levels of grades and hear about their honest reflection of the work environment and their tasks.
Skills
I have developed presentation skills by having the chance to analyse case studies and present it to a group of senior members. It allowed us to learn how we should approach the information, categorise into different sections and deliver it in a professional way. I also developed communication and teamwork skills simply by using the time to talk to lots of different people.
Business Insight
Initially I had lack of information on the particular line of service (DDV) I would be working for but the programme was helpful in providing the sense of insight into the type of work and role that we get. When we receive an offer, it would come across much more clearly but the rotation around different lines would also help us understand the connection between potential roles.
Culture
Very friendly and approachable. Very encouraging in terms of giving all of us fair chance to ask questions and be involved in the work given.
Your Impressions
Overall the virtual experience was really insightful and interesting. Wonderful opportunity to build connections and have a true glimpse of the internal working environment
Yes
