Overview
Standard 8 hour work day. Usually one to two hours of meetings with manager and project team. Remaining time spent working on current project, usually writing a Functional Design Specification. This involves requirement analysis, design specification, making UI wireframes and creating UML diagrams. As well as plenty of emails and messages to experts in other departments.
Skills
Undertook internal training on the printer hardware and software. Developed technical skills on software like Enterprise Architect to create UML diagrams. Developed my public speaking, written communication and inter-personal skills.
Responsibilities
Yes. From very early on I was tasked with work that would be directly used by the company and my colleagues. I have written documentation that is part of the ASM FDS catalogue and will hopefully remain relevant and useful for many years to come.
Support & Guidance
Everyone at ASM was very happy to answer any and all questions I had, Everyone was very friendly and approachable.
