Overview
Spent 6 months in a store learning how to be a store assistant and then an assistant store manager. Then move to project work within the store operations, logistics, property and trading departments.
Skills
Leadership, team work, communication, presentation and excel skills.
Responsibilities
You are given the responsibility of the running of the store from week 15. You may be the only manager on the shift so all responsibility is on you.
Support & Guidance
I felt supported the entire way though my placement. My mentor was there to answer any questions I had and to help guide Me.
Culture
Everybody within the company was very friendly. It is a very formal company culture.
Your Impressions
I absolutely loved my placement. I gained such an insight into the business and felt challenged the whole way through. I would like to return upon the completion of my degree.
Yes
Drive your own training the whole way through. Constantly challenge yourself. You have to be hard working and resilient and take every piece of feedback on board.
