Overview
Using and developing virtual & augmented reality projects. Demonstrating projects to various teams around the company to gather interest in the use of the technology. Experimentation to find new functionalities and better ways to produce future projects.
Skills
I learnt how to use Unreal Engine which also required extensive organisation skills. I learnt general office and meeting behaviors.
Responsibilities
As I was the only intern in my position, the creation and development of projects was purely down to me. So I felt that I had a big responsibility.
Support & Guidance
Although I wasn't able to receive a handover period I felt like I received plenty of support.
Culture
A good vibe, everyone in the office gets along and there's always general banter. Alongside this though there is always a constant workflow and it feels like a very productive environment.
Your Impressions
I really enjoyed my placement, I've really grown a love for using unreal engine. This has potentially changed my aim for future jobs as I much prefer it to the content I've been learning on my uni course.
Yes
Embrace it and take any opportunities that come your way.
