Overview
I will consider customer requirements and create lifetime simulations for them. I will also complete lab tests to support these enquiries.
Skills
Learnt to use COMSOL, work with external professionals, lots of different equipment in the lab, and applied theory from research.
Responsibilities
Towards the end, yes. I did not run any projects or lead teams, but I was responsible and trusted to complete high value work as part of the team.
Support & Guidance
An excellent amount from my mentor, however, he only works part-time. The rest of the team were only able to give limited support as my role has no comparable full time employee to reference.
Culture
Amazing, great ethics, ethos, morals, in addition to great extra curricular activities including charity events. A brilliant relaxed and supportive atmosphere whilst still remaining professional.
Your Impressions
It was a great year. I learnt some key professional skills, both technical and soft, and I met some great people that I will definitely keep in touch with. I'm looking to stay on at the company after I graduate, that's how much I enjoyed it!
Yes
Keep an open mind as they are definitely interested in the person, as well as the skills and qualifications.
