    Overview

  • 1. Please give an overview of your role and what this involves on a day-to-day basis.

    • Be part of the data management team, we have assigned data correction and data input task. Therefore, the main responsible within my role is to provide digital content for the company such as photograph and video graph. All digital content are being used on the company website and product catalog for marketing purpose. Other than that, as a member of the marketing team, I am also expected to process all images request from the colleagues from different department and customers to present our company products.

  • 2. Have you learnt any new skills, or developed your existing skills?

    • Before joining Eaton, I used to work as a semi professional photographer, but in Eaton, you can always expect something new, there is so many professional studio knowledges, editing knowledges and latest professional equipment for you to learn. Besides, during my placement year, I will definitely highlight the working culture and environment in Eaton, in Eaton I have learn the real value of team work and it have make become a better team player and work better with others in a team.

    Responsibilities

  • 3. Were you given much responsibility during your placement / internship?

    • In Eaton, everyone is the same, and all is given good amount of responsibility, thrust and respect, it could be challenging and new for a new employee but it will definitely push everyone to show their best within their role. Therefore, everyone in the company is always at the side and ready to support each other for different problem which align to our company values " We make all matters work" then show our best to the customers.

  • 4. How much support and guidance did you receive during your placement / internship?

    • As I mention before, in Eaton everyone is so supportive and ready to help or assist others. When you met any problems or challenges, always go to the team to brainstorm the solutions. Therefore, Eaton is a huge multinational company, we have so many talents and professionals across the world, you can always easily get connection with all experts from various sector through Microsoft Team meeting or company internal social platform - Yammer to get the matters solved.

  • 5. What was the company culture and general atmosphere like?

    • Eaton is a company that highlight teamwork and trust to their employees. Everyone in the company is sharing a same goal and giving everyone in the company maximum trust and respect and that is the reason that we can keep the company's products and services at the top quality to the customers. To have a such a wonderful atmosphere in the workplace can definitely make all the employees show their best within their role to the company.
